A Brief Summary Of Rising Son Ministries

The aim of our group, The Rising Son, is the glorification of God Through Worship and Service.  We accept and promulgate truths of Jesus the Christ as recorded in the Bible and other Sacred Scriptures. 

We are a spiritualist interfaith group.  Our approach is a practical and positive perspective on life.

We believe that there is one presence and power in the universe, known by many names but who we refer to as God. God is available to everyone through conscious awareness.  The creative power of God is individualized in every soul as the universal Christ.  We teach the Christ principle relative to the spiritual universe and our relationship to it.  Our definition of a Christian is "one who follows the teachings of Jesus" and "one who see the Christ in another."  We are devoted to the concept of working together for the highest good of all, in a cooperative attitude of non-judgmental respect.

 

Part of the New Thought Movement??

The New Thought movement is not really new at all; it is an outgrowth of all that has gone before.  The universal truth is also the ancient wisdom. 

 

What Type Of People Are Attracted To The New Though Philosophy?

- Thinkers and questioners of the world.

- People who want to hear about the goodness of God and his love.

- People who wish to asociate with other "happy"  "positive thinking" people.

- People of all religious backgrounds.

- People who have broken with traditional religion because of dogma.

- People who do not accept themselves as being evil.

- People who do not believe that they were born into this world as sinners.

 

Some Of Our MainStay Beliefs

Sin- We believe that sin is the result of man's ignorance of the truth of his nature.  In fact, the early Greek definition of the word is translated as "the missing of the mark".  The mark is Oneness with God.  We sin, or miss the mark, when we fail to attain our highest potential or highest calling. 

We believe that repentance is accomplished by admission of missing the mark and the honest effort to work at imporving ouselves.  Repentance is between you and God.

We believe that the highest morality is contained in the "Golden Rule."

We affirm that the doorway to heaven is NEVER closed against ANY human soul, here or hereafter.

We are dedicated to the principle that each of us represents the image and likeness of our creator God.

 

Rising Son is associated with the Christian Universalists Association.

Christian Universalism is a faith tradition based on the idea of a benevolent, all loving God who is saving all souls and transforming us all in the image of Christ.  After a spiritual growth process, everyone will be reconciled with God and with all other people, all sins will be forgiven, and all will be perfect like Christ.
